Residential painting is more than just putting a fresh coat on the walls or exterior of our beloved Allentown, Pennsylvania homes. The job of a residential painter includes prep, set-up, and cleanup as well. It is just as important to us that we leave your home and your project cleaner than it is to give you a high quality paint job. Our years of experience have taught us some tips and tricks that we think make for an easy after paint cleanup -here’s what we do:
Painting Prep Is Key
Before you get your brush in hand, remember that preparation is key and is one of the most important steps in your painting project. We always assess the painting project before we plan. If power washing or pre-cleaning is required, we make sure that it is done ahead of time. We also prep our work area to ensure that your carpets and floors are safe from paint – your home is an investment and we respect that. Tarps, drapes, and tape will be used to prevent paint from damaging floors and furniture.
Minimizing Drips and Splatters
We take special care in taping rooms and when we cut in a room we focus on precision. Our painters are also highly experience and trained. They are efficient and do not bump rollers into walls or splatter paint which can deposit unwanted paint where it doesn’t belong.
We Clean when Wet
Contrary to popular belief, the best time to clean paint drips and splatters is while they are still wet as they wipe off easily. We also pull tape while paint is still wet which gives you the cleanest lines and the most beautiful project outcome.
Trash Removal
We don’t leave behind any trash, we remove all waste from the area including used tape, paint cans, work materials, and anything else that another painter might leave behind. We also sweep up dust that we might have tracked into your home.
